THE RIDE: Start: 10:00 AM Location of Start: Sam’s Club parking lot (Hwy 6 frontage road between Hwy 30 and Hwy 60)

Length: Approx. 75 mile route -- those teams who are not inclined to ride the long circular route may do an out and back for approx. 65 miles or they may drive and start from Carlos, Texas (a little town outside of C.S. on Hwy 30) and still do a loop of approx. 35 miles. All routes will pass the lunch stop. Those driving to Carlos should still meet at Sam’s parking lot to obtain route maps. Riders on the shorter route should start around 11:00 to meet up with the chuck wagon and the other riders at the Fanthrop Inn .

Box Lunch: 12:00 - 1:00 PM - Fanthrop Inn, Anderson, TX (4 blocks South on Main St.)

Cost for box lunch: $10.00/person - Please send payment with registration. (Payment is non-refundable after 03/12/00)

Tour: Messina Hof Winery until 6pm (Optional - not on ride route)

Misc.: Sag support will not be provided. Registration is limited to 40 teams. Ride will start on time unless rain.

DIRECTIONS TO SAM’S CLUB:

From Austin: From HWY 47 exit HWY 60/Raymond Stotzer Pkwy heading east, travel 5.7 miles and turn right onto Hwy 6 feeder road. Travel 0.9 miles to Hwy 30/Harvey road. Turn Left underneath the overpass and left again on the feeder road heading North. Travel 0.15 miles and turn right into Sam’s Club parking lot. You are there!

From Dallas: From HWY 6 exit HWY 30/Harvey road. Turn left underneath the overpass and left again of the feeder road heading North. Travel 0.15 miles and turn right into Sam’s Club parking lot. You are there!

From Houston: From HWY 6 exit HWY 30/Harvey road. Proceed forward heading North at the stop light. Travel 0.15 miles and turn right into Sam’s Club parking lot. You are there!

Note: Sam’s Club is between Furrow’s and the Hollywood USA Movie Theater

BAT'S DEATH MARCH

RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LEGAL RIGHTS

By signing below I hereby waive, release and discharge any and all claims for damages for death, personal injury, or property damage which I may have, or which may hereafter accrue to me, as a result of my participation in said events. This release is intended to discharge in advance the promoters, sponsors, promoting club, officials, and any involved municipalities or other public entities (and their respective agents and employees) from and against any and all liability arrising out of or connected in any way with my participation in said event, even though that liability may arise out of negligence on the part of the persons or entities mentioned above. I further understand that serious accidents occasionally occur during bicycle riding and that participants in bicycle rides occasionally sustain mortal or serious injuries, and/or property damage, as consequence thereof. Knowing the risks of bicycle riding nevertheless, I hereby agree to assume those risks and to release and hold harmless all of the persons or entitles mentioned above who (through negligence or carelessness) might otherwise be liable to me (or my heirs or assigns) for damages. It is further understood and agreed that this waiver, release and assumption of risk is to be binding on my heirs and assigns, I agree to accept and abide by

the rules and regulations set forth in this registration. I WILL WEAR AN ANSI/SNELL APPROVED HELMET.
